When adding a new page to your school website be sure that it's optimised for mobile. Not only are most parents and pupils viewing your website from their phones, but Google is also judging you by how friendly your site is on a mobile. Upset Google and there goes your website SEO!

Most website platforms have an option to view what your page would look like on a mobile as you build it, but if your CMS doesn't you can always use Google's online checker. Plug in your page URL at:

Suddenly you're the new school photographer, the Head wants a list of all your marketing activities for the year, you're now giving summer tours ... the list goes on.  But if you've given yourself a little breathing room for unexpected events you'll find yourself a lot less stressed trying to catch up. Phew!⁠

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. Schedule Monday morning to start with a task you know you can easily check off your list. This simple trick will set the tone for your week, putting a smile on your face and making you feel in control. Sorted!

𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. As much as we'd like to think it, we can't do it all. If you find you're barely keeping your head above water, start a list of the tasks that you know you could do better if you had the time and those that may be better outsourced. Spreading yourself too thin doesn't do anyone justice so start an action plan to get support. Where are your strengths, what takes time to keep on top of, what will give you the biggest ROI. Just taking the steps to getting support will make you feel better. There's nothing worse than spinning your wheels.

#TuesdayTip - If you haven't already done so, be sure to set up your new GA4 profile in Google Analytics. Don't worry, it won't replace your existing UA profile just yet, but setting up GA4 now will allow you to start collecting data along side your current data and give you the opportunity to get familiar with the new set-up. Even if you're not looking at your current Google Analytics, do this! I promise, down the road you'll be glad you did 👍

𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗚𝗔𝟰 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆
> Click on the cog wheel on the bottom left corner
> Click GA4 Setup Assistant in the middle column
> Choose 'Create a new Google Analytics 4 property'

Depending on how your website / analytics have been set up you may be required to add additional code to your website. Create your property, send the code off to your IT/web company and Bob's your Uncle. You can start collecting data and explore the new platform at your own leisure.

#SchoolMarketingTip: Build a crystal clear picture of your target audience before anything else. Create a profile for each one, detailing as much as you can. How old are they? Where are they from? How old are their children? What websites do they visit?

Google Analytics can be an invaluable profiling tool, not only in identifying those that are converting on your school website but also in giving insight into their interests as well. Go to Audience >> Interests in Google Analytics.
